Since his days as a student, Ron Ozer demonstrated leadership abilities. He also had a stellar academic career that prepared him for the corporate world. He was the valedictorian of his class in Tenafly High School and an alumnus of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He also had internships at world-renowned companies Morgan Stanley and Lehman Brothers during his sophomore year in college. On top of his coursework and extracurricular activities, Ron also worked briefly as a research associate at MIT’s Sloan Business School. In 2008, he graduated from the MIT with a degree in Mathematics and minor in Economics. He was also a Phi Beta Kappa National Honor Society Member.

 

Upon joining the workforce, Ron Ozer returned to New York to work for global financial firms focusing mainly on trading natural gas. From August 2008 to July 2014, he worked at global investment and technology development firm D.E. Shaw & Co. From July 2015 to April 2017, he was the head US natural gas portfolio manager for American global financial institution Citadel.

 

Ron Ozer travels the world whenever he can. He lists Israel as his favorite destination. Aside from exploring the world, he also lists playing the guitar, playing poker, and snowboarding as some of his hobbies. Born and raised in New York, he is a fan of the New York Giants and Jay-Z.
